John MARTIN and Sophia BOLTON family

John MARTIN was born 30 August 1830 in Germany. He married Sophia BOLTON. Sophia was born 13 September 1830 in Germany.

The immigrated to Ohio after the birth of their oldest son Joseph. The lived in Montgomery County, Ohio in 1860 before moving to Auglaize County, Ohio.

Sophia died on 4 Feb 1910 in St. Marys, Auglaize County, Ohio. John died on 1 July 1915 in St. Marys, Auglaize County, Ohio.

John and Sophia had 9 children:

1. Joseph MARTIN born about 1852 in Germany.
2. Charles MARTIN born about 1856 in Ohio.
3. Sophia MARTIN born 28 Jan 1860 in Ohio. She died 1 Aug 1941 in Toledo, Ohio. She married Charles H SACO.
4. Sarah MARTIN born about 1862 in Ohio.
5. John MARTIN born 16 Apr 1865 in Dayton, Ohio. He died 25 Jun 1937 in St. Marys, Ohio. He married Lena SACO.
6. Elizabeth MARTIN born 11 Dec 1866 in Ohio. She died 2 Apr 1915 in Toledo, Ohio. She married John G KLOSTERHOUSE.
7. Henry MARTIN born Jan 1869 in Ohio.
8. Frederick H MARTIN born 1871 and died 1872.
9. George MARTIN born 27 Mar 1875 in Auglaize County, Ohio. He died in 1952.

Joseph SACO and Mary DUNCAN family

Joseph Saco was born about 1825 in Mecklenberg. He was married to Mary Duncan. Mary was born about 1832 in Mecklenberg.

The family is not found in the 1860 census although their first child is born in Lucas County, Ohio in 1859. In 1870, the family is living in Whiteford, Monroe County, Michigan under the surname Sukel.

Joseph died before 1880. Mary is found living in Toledo, Lucas County, Ohio in the 1880 census with 3 of their children.

Mary died on 21 May 1889 in Toledo.

Joseph and Mary had 6 children:

1. John Saco (27 Jul 1859 - 12 Jul 1916) married Wilhelmina Voigt (30 Sep 1858 - 13 Jan 1925).
2. Charles H Saco (18 Nov 1859 or 1861 - 18 Feb 1916) married Sophia Martin (28 Jan 1860 - 1941).
3. Henry Saco (Feb 1864 - ?) married Ollie (Oct 1863 - ?).
4. William Saco (12 Feb 1866 - 30 Nov 1935).
5. George Saco (16 Aug 1868 - 9 Dec 1944) married Catherine Donnelly (Dec 1868 - ?)
6. Lena Saco (1 Jul 1871 - 29 Dec 1958) married John Martin (16 Apr 1865 - 25 Jun 1937).

Henry PARTEE and Mary GIER marriage

Henry Partee and Mary Gier were married 17 August 1851 in Defiance County, Ohio.

Henry PARTEE and Mary GIER family

Henry Partee was born in Ohio about 1830. He married Mary Gier on 17 August 1851 in Defiance County, Ohio. Mary was born about 1830 in Ohio to Samuel Gier and his wife Sarah.

The family lived in Royalton, Fulton County, Ohio in 1860 and in Toledo, Lucas County, Ohio.

No further record has been found for Henry. In 1889, Henry and Mary's son, Jacob, posted the following message in the January 1889 issue of Locomotive Engineers Journal:

"Information is wanted of Henry Partee, an engineer formerly employed by the Lake Shore R. R., generally goes by the name of Henry Parker. Address Jacob O. Partee, Defiance, Defiance Co., Ohio."

Mary died on 6 May 1872 and was buried in Clinker Cemetery in Tiffin Township, Defiance County, Ohio.

Henry and Mary had 6 children:

1. Lorinda Partee (6 Sep 1851 - 5 Jan 1937) married Jacob Z Lyons (27 May 1851 - 2 Oct 1927).
2. Amos Partee (Jan 1853 - ?) married 1st Eliza Jane Hill, 2nd Mary Shuman, 3rd Cora Vaughn.
3. Jacob Partee (abt 1856 - 22 Nov 1941) married Caroline Grossell (1860 - 22 May 1945).
4. Joseph Partee (abt 1859 - 7 May 1926) married Mary E Westrich (9 Jul 1870 - 18 Nov 1951).
5. William Raymond Partee (3 Sep 1860 - 9 Jul 1927) married Elizabeth Grossell (16 Mar 1940).
6. Harry Sherman Partee (Dec 1865 - 17 Nov 1888).

David LYONS and Esther HOOVER family

David LYONS was born about 1814 in Pennsylvania. His parents are unknown.

David married Esther HOOVER on 19 December 1833 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Esther was born 14 September 1814 and her parents are unknown.

David and Esther lived in Strasburg and East Donegal, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania until about 1860. They then moved to Toledo, Lucas County, Ohio.

David died after a revolving pulley caught his arm and threw him across the paint shop of the Toledo, Wabash & Western Railway Company where he worked. His arm was "wrenched" off and his legs and ribs were broken. He still survived for a few hours before he died on 18 November 1870 at his home in Toledo.

Esther died on 7 June 1902 in Toledo.

David and Esther had at least 10 children, all born in Pennsyvlania.

1. Barbara Ann LYONS born about 1834.
2. Peter H LYONS born 1 Sep 1837 and died 30 Aug 1934. He married Mary Ann and Anna.
3. Frances LYONS born about 1839.
4. Esther LYONS born about 1842.
5. Elmira LYONS born about 1845.
6. Anna Mary LYONS born 19 Jul 1848 and died 6 Jan 1929. She married John HAHNLEN.
7. Jacob Z LYONS born 27 May 1851 and died 2 Oct 1927. He married Lorinda PARTEE.
8. David H LYONS born 6 Mar 1854 and died 9 Oct 1912. He married Matilda KECK.
9. John LYONS born about 1858.
10. Esther LYONS born about 1860.
